Week nine Research centre

                                          Week nine Research centre
This is my book buzz for this week I did research centre on hurricane's

What is a Hurricane and where does it come from?
Hurricanes are the most violent storms on Earth. They form near the equator over warm ocean waters. Actually, the term hurricane is used only for the large storms that form over the Atlantic Ocean or the eastern Pacific Ocean. The generic, scientific term for these storms, wherever they occur, is a tropical cyclone.

What are Hurricanes?
Hurricanes are tropical cyclones - storms that rotate counterclockwise with wind speeds in excess of 74 mph (kph). Most hurricanes form over warm seas near the equator. They are created when the sun heats the ocean surface, causing heated water vapour to rise, condense and form clouds.

What was the biggest hurricane ever?
The Great Galveston Hurricane of 1900 was the deadliest hurricane to ever hit the United States and caused between 8000 and 12000 deaths. The storm reached the Texas coast south of Galveston on September 8 as a Category 4 hurricane with a storm surge of 8 to 15 feet.

''Bomb cyclone''  brings bitter cold weather to us west coast
The extreme hurricanes and devastating wildfires of 2017 caused $306 billion in total damage, making it the most expensive year on record for natural disasters in the United States. Unfortunately, 2018 has commenced with extreme weather conditions of its own. After a frigid last week of December, the East Coast of the United States is being pummeled with a “bomb cyclone” winter storm that has brought bitterly cold temperatures, deep snow, and hurricane-speed winds to the region.
