Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Tennis Ball Tower Challenge

Today for our Whetu Challenge we worked in a group to build a tower out of newspaper, 2 straws, and sellotape. We needed to make our tower strong enough to hold a tennis ball and be able to stand alone (not leaning on anything or needing support).

Today I worked with Alyssa and josh. Alyssa thought that we should add a boy in the group and she thought that he was going to say yes and he did.

At first, we had trouble with making the top and the bottom the top because we did not know if we were going to add a teacup for at the top so the ball could go in it but we did not. for the bottom it was hard because we wanted it nice and strong but it did not work out it kept falling over because we put too much tape around it that it was getting too small.

The easiest thing was making the pole thing because all we had to do was roll it up and put tape around it so it would not keep falling over and if we left it without the tennis ball will go throw the middle and the hole will be too big for it.

The best part of our tower was the bottom because it looked really cool...

Our tower looked a bit weird because there wore straws and the bottom it was really weird it did not help the tower stand up because when we took the photo I had to hold the tower up so it would not fall and I could feel the straws.

In the end, our tower was not the best but it was great there wore some hard times where we gave up and there wore times that it was standing but then one second later it had fallen overall it was really fun. By Bella
